Kyiv, March 6 : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday said the Russian forces were preparing to bombard Odessa city that lies on the country’s Black Sea coast. In a televised address, he said, “Rockets against Odessa? This will be a war crime.” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken briefly entered Ukraine after meeting Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Saturday.

According to The Guardian, the pair met at the border with Poland to discuss western efforts to support Ukraine after Russia invaded 10 days ago. In a tweet, Kuleba said, “Met with my US counterpart and friend Blinken at the Ukrainian-Polish border. We held talks on further deliveries of necessary weapons for Ukraine, ways to ensure the efficiency of sanctions and increase pressure. Putin must stop his meaningless and barbaric war on Ukraine.”

On Saturday, Blinken had visited a welcome center set up by Polish authorities near the Ukraine border. At the refugee center, America’s top diplomat heard harrowing tales from mothers and their children who described long and perilous journeys — and the shock of the sudden disruption and the fear for their lives — after fleeing the devastation of the war, ABC News reported.
