Unprecedented security before Monday Floor test, Aaditya slams such security for rebel MLAs

Mumbai, July 3 : Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday slammed the Maharashtra government for deploying heavy security both outside and inside the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan during the Assembly Speaker’s election in which the rebel Sena MLAs participated.
Police has already maintained its section 144 of the CrPC order issued earlier in June, banning the assembly of five or more persons.
Political party workers were not allowed to gather near the Vidhan Bhavan and surrounding areas in south Mumbai.
Targeting the stringent security arrangements in place for rebel Shiv Sena MLAs as they entered the Vidhan Bhavan premises from a nearby luxury hotel Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray said, “We have not seen such security before in Mumbai. Why are you scared? Is someone going to run away? Why so much fear?”
The rebel MLAs supporting Shinde had returned to Mumbai from Goa on Saturday evening ahead of the Assembly session and were lodged in a luxury hotel in south Mumbai near the Vidhan Bhavan.
The four-day old Shiv Sena-BJP government will face the floor test on July 4 during the Assembly session.
