Threatened With AAP, BJP Plans To Make Anurag HP CM: Sisodia

New Delhi, April 7: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has become apprehensive of the “unpopularity” of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and is considering replacing him with Union Minister Anurag Thakur ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

Addressing a press conference, Sisodia said that the growing popularity of AAP and Arvind Kejriwal has propelled the BJP for the big change in the Himalayan state as the saffron party fears defeat in the upcoming assembly elections. “Reliable inside sources tell us that the BJP is so threatened by Kejriwal’s popularity in Himachal, that they have now decided to change the face of the government that has been in power in the state for the last four and a half years. The party plans to remove Jairam Thakur and appoint Anurag Thakur as the new CM,” Sisodia claimed.

He also said that the people of the state are utterly disappointed with the current regime and want a change in the government, not the face of the government. “They (people) want Himachal Pradesh to be developed like Delhi and wish to give their mandate to the AAP in the upcoming assembly elections,” he added.

“I want to tell the BJP that changing faces ahead of elections will not help the BJP hide the failures of its government in the state. The public will remember the four and a half years that you deceived them, crushed their hopes and didn’t serve them,” he said further. Sisodia claimed that the Kejriwal model of governance is now becoming a ray of hope for people all across the country. “Our model of governance is giving hope to the citizens and nightmares to the Bhartiya Janta Party. “The AAP will form its government winning elections in Himachal Pradesh, no matter what they (BJP) do now,” he added.
