Mutt Function: Bommai’s Eyes Welled Up, Was Seen Wiping His Tears, Here’s Why

Chitradurga (Karnataka), Feb 17: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was found getting emotional as the Taralabalu Hunnime Mahotsav honoured spouses of soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation.

As the wives of felled soldiers were honoured, Bommai’s eyes welled up and he was seen wiping his tears. The Mutt presented cheques of Rs 50,000 each for the wives of the soldiers who made their supreme sacrifes. In all 9 families were honoured at the Wednesday ceremony. The Chief Minister got emotional as he listened to the tales of valour. The families presented a memorandum seeking redressal of their grievances and the Chief Minister assured speedy action as he deputed the Deputy Commissioner of Chitradurga for the job.
