Cupid Arrow Fired: Country’s Youngest Mayor To Tie Knot With 15th Kerala Assembly’s Youngest MLA
Kozhikode, Feb 16: Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran, who won national attention as the youngest person to hold the position, and youngest member of the current Kerala Assembly – K M Sachin Dev. Families of Rajendran and Dev have begun discussions on taking the relationship to the next level. Confirming the developments, the young Mayor said that marriage was not imminent.
Rajendran, who became the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram corporation at the age of 21, and Dev, MLA from Balussery constituency, have worked together as Kerala state committee members of Students Federation of India. At the age of 27, Dev became the youngest member of 15th Kerala Assembly by defeating actor Dharmajan Bolgatty of Congress at the Balussery constituency.
Speaking to media persons, Rajendran confirmed that they had discussed the alliance, but marriage will not happen soon. “We have been friends since we began associating as state committee members of SFI. When we discussed our marriage plans, we thought about letting our family and party (CPM) know first before making a final decision. Let the families discuss. Marriage is not on cards soon,” she told media persons. Rajendran and Sreelatha, parents of Arya Rajendra, told New9, that they haven’t come to a final decision on the marriage yet. Rajendran was one of the star campaigners for Dev in the Kerala Assembly elections.
