BREAKING NOW: Bihar- JDU-BJP Parted Officially, Nitish To Meet Guv Soon
Patna, Aug 9: The JDU-BJP alliance in Bihar is said to be end as per party sources, after the JDU core-committee meeting here on Tuesday. To form new Government in the state the JDU Chief and CM Nitish Kumar has taken an appointment to meet the Governor Phagu Chauhan within couple of hours today.
This has been announced after the meeting of Janata Dal (United), which was taking place at the chief minister’s residence at 1 Anne Marg here, has ended.
Both JD (U) and Grand Alliance had convened meetings of their MPs and Legislators in changed political scenario in Bihar.
The latest political drama had triggered after resignation of former JD(U) president RCP Singh from the party on Saturday evening following a show cause notice was served to him by the party seeking explanation on amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
RCP Singh had resigned from the party alleging that some leaders were constantly humiliating him and crossed all limits. He had also described JD(U) as sinking ship.
JD(U) president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh had announced on Sunday that his party was no more prepared to accept a new Chirag model which was being prepared by BJP through RCP Singh to damage JD(U). LJP MP Chirag had fielded candidates against JD(U) damaging its electoral prospects in 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections.
On the other hand, leader of the opposition Tejaswi Prasad Yadav also convened a meeting of Grand Alliance legislators to seek their views in changed political scenario. Now it is expected that Grand Reliance may extend support to Chief Minister Kumar to form a new government in Bihar againg.
Sources said that Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan gave the time to Nitish Kumar at 4 p.m. because ministers of the BJP will be meeting him at 1.30 p.m. All 16 ministers of the BJP will handover their resignation letters to the Governor. The BJP ministers assembled at the official residence of deputy Chief Minister Tar Kishore Prasad, from where they will go to the Raj Bhawan.
