Amit Shah Pledges To Resolve Manipur’s Insurgency Problems
Imphal, Mar 1: Union Home Minister, Amit Shah promised on Tuesday that all insurgency-related problems in Manipur will be resolved by holding talks with the insurgent groups and bringing them to the mainstream if the BJP is given another five years at the helm in the coming state Assembly polls.
“We have done a lot of work in Manipur in the past five years. Give us five more years. I am telling you, we will hold talks with all insurgent groups and bring permanent peace in Manipur,” Shah said while addressing an election rally in Devi Mandop Lampak of Thoubal district Shah said no Manipuri youth would be fired upon or have to go to jail.
“They will be brought to the mainstream and they will work for the development of the country’ and Manipur. We will secure the boundaries of Manipur and also ensure peace,” he said.
