Faith Can Rock: This Time At Home, CM Prays With” Chakadola Bhajan”
Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: This is not his usual practice this Year. The most revered CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, today skipped his usual New Year Day prayer visit every year to Puri, Shree Jagannath Temple. On Saturday he stays at his residence and sought the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath for wellbeing of the people of Odisha and the State.
In view of the COVID-19 restrictions, Shree Mandir being closed to avoid crowding, CM Patnaik paid obeisance to Lord from his home. An humble video released by Naveen Niwas’, the residence of the chief minister, shows it all.
Later, in a video conferencing with IAS and IPS officers, the chief minister wished them on the occasion.
In a message, the chief minister also greeted the people and urged them to follow Covid appropriate behavior.
Apart from Puri Jagannath Temple, all major places of worship and picnic sports too remained closed for two days to avoid crowding.
The state government had prohibited New Year celebrations in hotels, clubs, and restaurants.
People from all walks of life, ranging from politicians to school students, took to social media to exchange greetings.
CM Naveen prays the Almighty with the timeless Bhajan of the legendary devotional singer Bhikari Bal, which expresses the blessed eternity at HIS lotus feet.
