Strict Action Against OMFED: for Selling Paan & Gutkha In Odisha Capital

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to take stringent action against the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (OMFED) stalls in the city if they are found selling paan or gutkha.

The BMC has decided to impose a ban on sale of gutkha and paan ib OMFED shops. The BMC has warned that action will be taken aginst those OMFED stalls who sell these teams illegally.

This apart, the civic body has asked the shops to maintain hygiene and ensure that area up to five meters from each stall is kept clean.

It is noteworthy that a fine of five thousand will be imposed for not keeping dry and wet garbage separately if they failure to follow the rule.

Besides imposing penalty on those flouting the rules, shops may also be sealed in case of gross violation, they added.
