STF Apprehends An Absconding Interstate Drug Peddler

Bhubaneswar, June 20: A team of Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended an absconding interstate drug peddler of Ganjam District.

STF sources here on Monday said on the basis of intelligence input, a team of STF, conducted raid and apprehended one Rana Muna Dora of Dharmapur under Patpur Police Station of Ganjam district U/s. 20(b0(ii)(C)/29 NDPS Act, 1985. On June 3 last contraband Ganja weighing 1010 kg were seized from the possession of Rana Muna while transporting in a Hywa Vehicle concealing the same in a secret chamber. The accused was absconding since then. The accused was arrested and will be forwarded to the court of District & Sessions cum Special Judge, Bhubaneswar. He is the main supplier of the contraband ganja to the interstate drug peddlers.

Rana Muna was also earlier involved in a case under Pattapur Police station area where contraband Ganja more than 30 Quintals were recovered from the possession of accused persons.
