Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: President Ram Nath Kovind has arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Aiport in Bhubaneswar at around 2.30 PM on Saturday and left in a special helicopter for Puri, for his scheduled Darshan of Lord Jagannath at Shree Mandir from 5 PM to 5.45 PM.
The temple will remain closed for the general public from 4 pm till 6 pm on the same day for security reasons.
On February 20, the President will inaugurate the three-year-long celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Srimad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, the founder of Gaudiya Math and Mission in Puri.
Around 40 platoons of police force will be deployed for the overall security arrangements during the President’s visit to the pilgrim town. Around 200 officers will supervise the arrangements.
