Bhubaneswar, March 25 : Odisha has made a remarkable journey in several sectors notwithstanding challenges and the Covid pandemic during 2021, Governor Ganeshi Lal said here on Friday Addressing the inaugural day of the budget session of the Odisha Assembly, Lal said 2021 was marked by the second and third wave of the Covid Pandemic. Yet the government has performed well in several sectors, be it public health rural housing, transforming educational institutions, quality education, sporting or tourist infrastructure, The Odisha government, he said will continue to prioritise the delivery of essential services, creation of livelihood opportunities, and development of key and basic infrastructures He said the government is firmly committed to developing all regions of the state, empowering all sections of people and is set to move into a transparent technology-driven transformed new Odisha. The overall law and order situation in the state during 2021 remained by and large peaceful, the Governor said, adding the Communal tension, agitation by different labour and service organisations and students unrest, if any, were contained through the process of dialogue and police alertness.
