Odisha Streamlines Procedure For Opening Of Nursing Institutions

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has streamlined the procedures for opening new institutions and obtaining No Objection Certificate (NOC) in this regard.

Robust guidelines have been formulated for obtaining NOC and to provide minimum standard requirements as per recommendations of the concerned Councils.

In order to encourage private entrepreneurs in establishing high quality and sustainable institutions in different courses like Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied medical Science and Physiotherapy the following steps have been taken:

(1) The Gls and Gap analysis system for determining the requirement of number of institutions in a district has been discontinued.

(2) The mechanism for assessment of institutions by inspection has been further relaxed and shall be done by the experts in the subject concerned. lnvolvement of district administration i.e. Collector, ADM, BDO, Deputy collector, Tahsildar etc. is discontinued.

This will be effective from the Academic Session 2023-24.

This step shall encourage in establishing a greater number of high quality professional institutions in the state providing skilled healthcare worker in different streams.
