Among the cabinet ministers a majority of the members who were in the earlier ministry have retained their ministerial berths.

And a few ministers those who took oath today, were also ministers in the 4th term of the Naveen-led government.

In the newly formed ministry the chief minister has inducted some new faces such as Rohit Pujari(MLA from Rairakhol), Priti Ranjan Ghadai(MLA from Sukinda) and Rajendra Dholakia(MLA from Nuapada).

What possibly necessitated such major change at this time, is to make the ministries more enabled with a robust delivery mechanism and accountability to the people before the next general elections in 2024.
