Bhubaneswar, August 3: Jeypore in Odisha will be the third city after Bhubanewar and Jharsuguda to have air connectivity.
The commercial flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Jeypore in Koraput district under UDAN scheme is likely to operate soon.
A trial run of an India One Air flight was conducted on Wednesday from BPIA to Jeypore with only the Aircraft staff on board. The India One Air was launched last month. The flight took off from BPIA at 1015 AM and returned to Bhubaneswar at 1200 hrs, official sources said.
If the flights operate between the two cities, then Jeypore will become the third Airport in Odisha after Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda.
