India Skills 2021: Odisha Tops Medal Tally
Bhubaneswar: Year 2022, begins with an all-round good news from Odisha Youth Skills. The State Team topped with as many as 51 medals in the medal tally and became champion at the India Skills 2021 national competition.
Team Odisha members bagged 10 Gold, 18 Silver, 9 Bronze and 14 Medallion of Excellence at the event. Kerala and Maharashtra were placed at second and third positions, respectively.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the ‘Skilled in Odisha’ youths for their glorious performance at the competition.
The CM said that Odisha will send the largest contingent to World Skill Shanghai event.

India Skills is organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the nodal agency for skill and entrepreneurship development, working under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
India Skills 2021 was held in New Delhi this month. The closed-door event witnessed participants from 26 states/ union territories competing in more than 50 skills such as car painting, patisserie and confectionery, welding, additive manufacturing, cyber security, floristry among others.
