Hike In Covid-19 Tally, Odisha Nears 3000 Mark

Bhubaneswar: Odisha registers as many as 2703 Covid-19 positive cases including Khurda nearing 1000 cases per day as 926 have been detected in the last 24 hours. The total cases include 409 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday.

Among the 2703 positives, 1579 are quarantine cases and 1124 are local contacts. There are a total of 8237 active cases.

Khordha district has recorded the highest with 926 covid positive cases, followed by Sundargarh with 454, Cuttack with 191, Sambalpur with 179, and Jharsuguda with 106 positives.

On the other hand, a 78 years old female of Khordha district has succumbed to the deadly virus and the death toll rises to 8470.
