BOI Issues Lookout Circular Against Director Of A Real Estate Company

Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: Bureau of Immigration (BoI) has issued Lookout Circular against the Director of a real estate company on the request of the Economic offence Wing (EOW).

EOW sources here on Friday said the accused Manoj Kumar panda, Director of M/s Odyssa Homes & Commercials Pvt. Ltd. is absconding after cheating the investors to the tune of crores of rupees.

A case has been registered on August 23 last u/s 406/420/467/468/471/120-B IPC r.w. Sec. 6 of OPID Act, 2011. Against Panda on the basis of the written allegation of one Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra.

Mohapatra, an employee of TCS alleged that the Directors Company cheated him and many other investors to the tune of Rs 20 Crore on the pretext of providing them dispute-free flats in their Apartment Project namely, ‘Ganapati Homes’ located in Sampur Mouza, Bhubaneswar near Kalinga Studio.

During investigation, it was found that the Directors of the company from 2013 to 2016 collected around Rs 20 Crore from 42 investors to provide them with flats at their project ‘Ganapati Homes’ by 2018 and necessary agreements and MOUs were also executed to that effect.

But, till now no flat has ever been allotted to any of the investors. Rather, to cheat the investors, the Directors of the company knowingly lingering the process to handover the plots and in the meanwhile have also resold seven flats out of them to other customers.

Accused Manoj Kumar Panda was heading all affairs of the company.
Panda is one of the three Directors of the company. Arabindo Santra, MD of the company has already been arrested and forwarded to court in the case, and he is still in judicial custody.

The two other Directors —Manoj Kumar Panda and Saroj Panda are absconding to evade police arrest.
Investigation of the case is continuing.
