Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-based businessman Amiya Kanta Das appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday in connection with the blackmailer Archana Nag sextortion case.
Das had received summons from ED as he had transferred Rs 10 lakh to Archana and her husband Jagabandhu’s account in 2021-22. The ED is investigating if he gave the money for business purpose or any other reason.
In the last 5 years, lakhs of rupees have come to Archana’s account through banks and ATMs. It is said that about one and a half crore rupees have been deposited in the form of cash. Many politicians, builders, businessmen and some company owners are said to have sent this money.
