Vice Prez Election: TRS To Vote For Oppn Candidate Margaret Alva

Hyderabad, Aug 5: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday decided to support the combined Opposition candidate former Union Minister Margaret Alva in the Vice-President election to be held on Saturday.

Announcing the party’s chief decision to extend support to the opposition candidate in the Vice President election , TRS Parliamentary Party leader Dr K.Keshava Rao advised the party MPs numbering 16 to vote accordingly.

The BJP-led NDA has already announced former West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar as its candidate in the Vice-President election.
