US Dy NSA Daleep Singh To Visit India

Washington, March 30: US Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics Daleep Singh will be on a two-day visit to India from March 30, the White House said. During the visit, Singh will be holding meetings with officials to deepen cooperation to promote inclusive economic growth and prosperity, and a free and open Indo-Pacific. According to the White House, he will consult closely with counterparts on the consequences of Russia’s unjustified war against Ukraine and mitigating its impact on the global economy.

“Singh will also discuss priorities of the Biden Administration, including the promotion of high-quality infrastructure through Build Back Better World and the development of an Indo-Pacific Economic Framework,” it added. His visit comes days after President Joe Biden termed India’s stance on Ukraine-Russia issue as “somewhat shaky”. According to The Guardian, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also planning to visit India, one of the biggest buyers of Russian commodities. UNI
