PM Urges For Fruitful Budget Session Discussions To Help Country Achieve Greater Economic Heights

New Delhi, Jan 31: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged Members of Parliament across political parties to hold free and fruitful discussions during the Budget Session that would help the country achieve even greater economic heights.

Addressing reporters ahead of the Budget Session, the PM said: “Our discussions should be frank and open minded, these can be an opportunity for the world. I hope that all members and parties will with open minds help take the discussions to a high level, which will contribute to take forward our country’s progress.”

He said that in today’s global situation, there are many opportunities for India. “This Budget Session is not just for India’s economic progress — its vaccination campaign, our own indigenous vaccines, all these have helped inculcate faith regarding India in the world,” the PM said.

Referring to the upcoming state assembly elections in five states, the PM said: ”It is true that due to elections the parliament sessions are disturbed, but elections will continue, and we must continue with our work.. This Budget Session is very important as it takes the country along for the whole year, and the more fruitful we make it , it will help to take our country reach higher economic levels.”
