Plea against Nupur again in SC

New Delhi, July 6 : A petitioner on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking the arrest of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her comments on Prophet Mohammad which sparked widespread protests.

A two-judge vacation Bench headed by Justice Indira Banerjee refused to give an urgent hearing and asked petitioner Abu Sohel to approach the Mentioning Registrar for listing the matter.

The petitioner sought an urgent hearing on the plea that Delhi Police was not taking any action against Sharma.
