Opposition Stages Walkout On Price Rise, Other Issues

New Delhi, April 4: Opposition parties on Monday staged a walkout from Lok Sabha over various issues including price rise, DMK MPs also raised demands for removal of Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. Opposition MPs including those from Congress, DMK, National Conference, Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena, IUML, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, CPI, CPI-M demanded debate on price rise and other issues.
Rajendra Agrawal, who was in the Chair, did not agree and carried on with the Zero Hour. Opposition MPs staged a walkout from the House. Several MPs also trooped near the Speaker’s podium and raised slogans. Petrol and diesel prices were on Monday hiked by 40 paise a litre each, taking the total increase in rates in the last two weeks to Rs. 8.40 per litre. Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs. 103.81 per litre while diesel will cost Rs. 95.07. UNI
