Naveen’s Body Back Due To Modi: Bommai
Bengaluru, March 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made an impossible task possible by bringing back Karnataka student Naveen Shekharappa Gyanagoudar’s mortal remains from Ukraine, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Monday. “I have thanked PM Modi for the intense efforts which made it possible. He has made an impossible task possible… India had airlifted its citizens from Libya too when under attack from ISIS. These prove that India is a big power,” he told reporters after receiving Naveen’s body here.
“There are many who criticise him. But the Prime Minister has shown that success can be achieved through honest and humane efforts,” Bommai said. Naveen was killed in Ukraine’s shelling while he went out to buy groceries outside the Kharkiv metro railway station on March 1. “Many students have returned from Ukraine. Unfortunately Naveen fell victim to a missile splinter attack.” The mortal remains of Naveen was embalmed and kept in a mortuary. The flight carrying the remains arrived here via Dubai. UNI
