New-Delhi: India on Saturday reported single-day increase of 2,68,833 cases in the last 24 hours, which is 4,631 more than yesterday.
The total active case tally has risen to 14,17,820.
The country recorded 402 COVID fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 4,85,752 as reported by the Union Health Ministry.
As per the ministry, 1,56,02,51,117 crore COVID vaccine doses have been administered so far.
As many as 6,041 cases of Omicron covid variant have been reported across 28 states and union territories.
The daily positivity rate has risen to 16.66%.
