Heavy rains: Hyd Police Issues Advisory For Non-Essential Travel

Hyderabad, July 10: The Hyderabad City Police have issued an advisory to the general public immediately that in view of the expected heavy rains, the public may please avoid non-essential travel and kindly watch the weather and rain forecasts before venturing out .

In a statement here on Sunday, the city police said a red alert has been sounded by the meteorological department for tonight, tomorrow whole day , tomorrow night and day after morning session regarding heavy rains .

There is a heavy cloud cover over the entire Telangana. A lot of flooding , overflowing of rivulets and lakes , roads getting cut among other things are expected which will throw regular life out of gear . All educational institutions have been closed by the Government for three days.

All precautions may be taken in and around your homes too . The Hyderabad City Police has deployed its Traffic and Law and order officers for night duties , equipped them with raincoats, shoes , other disaster management equipment like ropes , pumps etc , activated the coordination with GHMC teams and put NDRF on alert.
