Film Producer Ramesh Babu Passes Away At 56

Hyderabad, Jan 9: Superstar Krishna’s elder son Gattamaneni Ramesh Babu passed away on Saturday night due to liver related illness.

He was 56. He is survived by wife Mrudula, daughter Bharathi and son Jayakrishna.

Ramesh Babu who was suffering from liver related disease died at 0830 hours on the way to AIG, Hospital Gachibowli.

Babu made his Silver screen debut in 1974 with Alluri Sitaramaraju. He also shared screen with his father Krishna and brother Mahesh Babu in various Telugu films. Anna Chellellu, Pachcha Thoranam, Mugguru Kodukulu, Samrat, Chinni Krishnudu, Krishan Gari Abbayi, Bazaar Rowdy were some of his landmark films in Telugu.

He had produced some blockbusters at the box office including Arjun, Athidhi.

Film industry personnel including actor-turned Janasena Party President Pawan Kalayan conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members Ramesh Babu.
