Bogtui Toll Goes Up To 9

Kolkata, March 28: The toll in the Bogtui carnage rose to nine with the death of Nazema Bibi at Rampurhat government medical hospital on Monday, official sources said.

The victim was rescued by the fire Brigade personnel in the night of March 21/22 from one of the houses set on fire by a mob that burnt alive women and children. She had been admitted to the Rampurhat government hospital with over 65 percent burn injury, doctors said. Nazema Bibi’s health condition deteriorated since Sunday and she was put on ventilation. However the patient died early Monday.
