RJD Chief Lalu Yadav Out In Bail

Apr 22: The Jharkhand High Court on Friday grants bail to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

The former Bihar CM and Railway Minister is in custody following his conviction and sentencing by a CBI court in February in a fodder scam case involving embezzlement of over Rs. 139 crore from Doranda treasury.

He was sentenced to five years in prison and slapped a fine of Rs. 60 lakh by a special CBI court in Ranchi in connection with the fifth fodder scam case.

The HC has granted a conditional bail to Yadav and asked to deposit half of the fine fixed by the CBI Court.

Presently, Yadav’s treatment is going on in AIIMS Delhi as reffered from  RIMS for better treatment.
