‘Refusal To Remove Hijab During Exam Will Invite Action’
Bengaluru, March 28: Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Monday said action will be initiated against those who refuse to remove hijab before appearing for Karnataka Board SSLC exam and violating the high court’s verdict on headscarves.
“All students should remove their hijabs and write the exam. We will not compromise on this. Those violating the Karnataka High Court verdict on hijab will face action,” he told reporters here.
State Education Minister BC Nagesh also said the police will take action against violating the government order on implementing the dress code. More than 8.74 lakh students are appearing for the exam in over 48,000 halls in 3,440 centres across the state.
