May 1: It happened in Munger University, but can it ever be possible in any way ? Can a candidate get more than 100 percentile in any exam?
Yes, this has happened in Bihar’s Munger University. The case pertains to where the result of BA for the session 2018-21 Graduation Part-3 has been declared on Saturday.
This result has come against the gross negligence of the examination department of the university. Combining the three parts of graduation, the student is given 868 marks instead of 800.
The student was given 555 marks instead of 100 marks in Paper-5 of Honors subject of Part-3 of the said student, not only that, this student was given 108.5% marks in total.
In fact, a TR copy of the result of Arts Faculty of Graduation Part-3 was also uploaded by the university on the official website of the university, but in this result Dilip Kumar Sah (whose roll number is 118040073) is a student of KKM College, History Honors of Jamui, Part-3 paper. 555 marks have been given out of total 100 marks in 5 subject. As a result, his total score has gone up to 1,130.
Not only that, the most surprising thing is that he got 108.5% of the total. The results declared by the University have been approved by the Controller of Examinations to the Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor in addition to the Controller of Examinations.
In this case, Dr. Ramashish Purve, Controller of Examinations of the University said that a mistake has been made. It will be fixed. The university’s vice-chancellor said it was “worrying” that such a mistake could be made after the final year.
