Rabat, March 17: The Moroccan flagship carrier Royal Air Maroc announces suspension of all flights to and from Russia over insurance problems. “The insurance company has just banned flights to Russia. All the flights have been canceled,” a spokesperson for the airline told the Russian Association of Tour Operators.
Flight to and from Russia have been disrupted since February 24 over the military operation in Ukraine and the following Western sanctions against the Russian aviation industry. Russia has in turn closed its airspace for the countries that imposed sanctions on Moscow, which makes flights from Europe to East Asia much longer. UNI/SPUTNIK
