Kabul, Jan 15: A 25-year-old Afghan girl was shot dead at a Taliban checkpost, reports said on Saturday.
According to The Khaama News Agency, the family in Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi claimed their daughter Zainab was shot dead when they were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony.
The father has demanded justice and arrest of the culprits. The motive is not yet clear but the Taliban has pledged a probe.
Last month in a similar incident, Faisal, a 22-year-old was shot dead at a Taliban check post in the capital here.
