150 Afghans Commissioned To Army In Eastern Paktia Province
Kabul, Feb 19: A total of 150 Afghans have been commissioned to the army in the eastern Paktia province after training, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported.
During the two-month military training, the cadets learned how to use a variety of light and necessary weapons, and how to behave with people during operations.
The newly-graduated security personnel are ready to serve in war-torn Afghanistan, said the report.
On Thursday, more than 200 cadets were commissioned to the police force in the western Herat province. Afghanistan would have a 150,000-strong army in the future, said Defense Ministry Spokesman Enayatullah Khawarazmi.
