Passenger Indisposed, Delhi-Chennai Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Nagpur
Chennai, Feb 4: A Chennai-bound Air India flight from New Delhi, with Tamil Nadu Waterways Minister Duraimurugan on board, made an emergency landing at Nagpur after a passenger suffered chest pain. Airport sources said the flight, with 85 passengers on board, including the Minister, left Delhi airport at 09:40 hrs and was scheduled to land in Chennai at 1230 hrs.
When the flight was mid air, a passenger suffered chest pain. The Captain informed the Air Traffic Control and the aircraft made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport. The passenger was admitted to the airport hospital and the flight took off and reached Chennai at 1400 hrs after a delay of 90 minutes with the remaining 84 passengers.
