An amazing twist of viruses dating back to 100 years minus the change in nomenclature(Spanish flu to H3N2)

After a prolonged confusion over the symptoms, treatments and other things, now a new name has cropped up as had been 100 years back. Same symptoms  and safety measures and almost same line of treatment as in the case of Covid. Minus no anti-biotics please!

Unmistakably , the same as in 1918 when the killer flue danced from one place and claimed over 50 million lives.

Confusion confounded!

Interestingly, a fabulous similarity of the ailments most recently was given the name as Corona virus. Then, rest is history.

Latest guess about the prevailing fear is that of a dangerous flu-like symptoms  in several parts of India, according the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) of which a sizable number  of had spoken questioning the approach to Covid-19 and had warned against random vaccinations also.

The same influenza has been punned by experts citing almost same symptoms and guidelines. Was Covid was a mistaken nomenclature for the flu or influenza discovered by the medical fraternity for a special purpose.

On the whole the entire gamut of the disease was respiratory illness, with same SOPs and so on. Was that an occasional alliance of medical and pharmaceutical world to spring a new name and same drugs by different packaging.

Fever,Sore throat,Runny nose and Persistent cough. What a striking similarity!

The same medical experts say subtype H3N2 seems to be causing more hospitalisations than other influenza virus strains.

According to the statement released by ICMR, out of the severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) patients that are hospitalised with influenza A H3N2, interesting blend of pharmaceutical jargons in an amazing collage of digits and alphabets!

About 92 percent are suffering from fever

86 percent from cough

27 percent from breathlessness

16 percent had clinical signs of pneumonia

6 percent has seizures

10 percent needed oxygen

7 percent required ICU care

No, since the flu is caused by a virus, antibiotics don’t work against it!  Even some doctors feel that, paracetamols cannot bring down this fever many times.
