Money Couldn’t Save: Family Spent 8 Cr & Sold 50 Acres Of Land After Farmer, Yet He Lost Battle, Know How

Bhopal: Farmer Dharmajay Singh from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh was infected with coronavirus eight months ago. After infection, he was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa (Rewa farmer Dharamjay Singh Death) for treatment. Relatives rushed him to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on the advice of a doctor after he developed a severe lung infection. Dharmajay Singh was undergoing treatment for eight months, but he did not survive. The family has spent Rs 8 crore for the treatment.
Dharmajay Singh, a resident of Rakari village in Rewa district, was tested eight months ago after showing symptoms of corona infection. After the report was positive, he was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. He was airlifted to Chennai as his condition did not improve. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai. He was treated by renowned doctors in the country as well as doctors in London. But he breathed his last at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Tuesday night.

Dharmajay Singh was counted among the progressive farmers of the state. Dharmajay Singh, a resident of Rakari village in Mauganj area, had a distinct identity throughout the state. By planting strawberries and roses, he created a distinct identity in the Vindhya region. He was honored by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on January 26, 2021 at a function held at SF Ground.

Covid-19 was tested on April 30, 2021, after a sudden deterioration in health. After receiving a positive report on May 2, he was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. After 18 days of treatment here, he was airlifted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for better treatment. In just four days, he recovered from the corona infection. But the lungs were 100 percent infected. Attempts were then made to resuscitate them with the help of the hospital’s ECMO machine.

Doctors at the hospital moved him to the ICU due to a brain haemorrhage. He could not be cured of many ailments. He died at a Chennai hospital after eight months of treatment. The family members said that Rs 8 crore was spent for this treatment. The eco machine cost between two and three lakh rupees per day. After the ventilator fails, the patient needs an ECMO machine. Farmer Dharmajay Singh’s family sold 50 acres of land for treatment.

Farmer Dharmajay Singh’s elder brother Pradeep Singh is a lawyer. “We did our best to save my brother,” he said. He was treated at a cost of Rs 8 crore. He sold 50 acres of land to make up for the shortfall. Still, the brother could not be saved. There is not much help from the government. Financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakhs was received from the government for the treatment. One to three lakh rupees was being spent on his treatment every day. He did a great service to the people during the Kovid epidemic. In the meantime, he became infected, his brother said.
