Mumbai, Jan 16: In January 8, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar tested positive for Covid-19. After experiencing mild symptoms, she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, said doctor, Pratit Samdani, in her latest health update.
It’s been more than a week since Lata Mangeshkar has been kept under observation in ICU. Pratit Samdani, revealed that the veteran singer is still undergoing treatment in the ICU and that she doesn’t want many people to know about her condition.
As per hospital reports, the Nightingale of India will continue to be in the ICU for 10-12 days.
In her seven-decade-long singing career, Lata Mangeshkar has sung more than 30,000 songs in several Indian languages. She is considered one of the greatest playback singers in Indian cinema. Lata is also the recipient of three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards, and many more. She is known for iconic songs like Yeh Kahan Aagye Hain Hum, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya from Mughal-e-Azam, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh from Dil Apna Aur Preet Para, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo and Lag Jaa Gale, among many others.
