Lucky Are Those Who Have Daughters, Daughters Who Care Like Angels , Admonish Like A Mother

A daughter is Gods way of saying May you have a happy life ahead, She understands and she cares; Motherhood is a path to tread…Happy Daughter’s Day. (Euripides)

That may be a message but it remains as a promontory of love and affection for any parent and primarily for the Fathers who are privileged to enjoy an extra bonding with the daughter.

The Daughters’ Day or week has no specific day or time, rather it is ever present as an inseparable bonding lasting for time immemorial. A quintessential illumination that brighten up in each family fold.

In earlier times, there was a concept that, girls or daughters, are burdens on the parents’ and it requires no elaboration, why? Outdated and obsolete mindset that the daughters of today have been able to demolish.

It has been quite off the moral parameters that, daughter can be a cause of concern, safety, marriage and education. But, time has changed and the daughters have smashed such an outdated iron curtain and have proved that, they are not equal but better than many sons.

When the daughter is at home, in the family, with the parents and others, she is omnipresent and ubiquitous that none else can replace her place.

Daughters are the ones the fathers look up to when they come back home and it is always the daughter who emerges from the oblivion to run at you with a smile and hug, that is eternal. Fathers barely speak but, their longing to see the daughter around, in fact, transcends any language. A terrific  bond, which requires no words to be defined.

When a daughter bids an adieu to her family after marriage, that becomes the new beginning of another bonding with her parents despite the physical absence. She gets more closer by instinct and the same parents feel the huge voids in her absence as there would be none, chirping like a bird all the time and a quiet father rejoices the noises but her absence sometimes grills into the parents’ solitude which misses the bliss that only a daughter can create.

“A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.” someone had told a century back. They love and care that none else can ever compensate. Let’s wait for the Daughters’ Day on 25th September
