Bhubaneswar, Oct 28 : Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das was elected unopposed as the President of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA)

OCA Electoral Officer M L Majumdar declared the names of the OCA officer bearers at the Annual General Meeting held at Cuttack on Friday.
Along with Das, five other authorised representatives were elected unopposed for one full term for a period of three years with effect from October 28, 2022. Das represented the Jajpur affiliated unit.

Besides Das, the other four office bearers and a Member of the Apex Council who were elected unopposed are —Pankaj Lochan Mohanty (Vice president, Cuttack district), Sanjay Behera (Secretary, Rising Students Club), Prabhat Kumar Bhol (Joint Secretary, Sundergarh district), Bikash Pradhan (Treasurer, Khordha district) and Pratap Chandra Pradhan (Apex Council Member, Angul district.

OCA Secretary Sanjay Behera said in the future OCA will emphasise more on domestic cricket and the District Cricket Academies will be made functional in near future.

Pranab assured us to provide all sorts of assistance for the promotion of cricket in the state.
