Star Plus to air ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ from Aug 2

New Delhi, July 26 : On popular public demand, Star Plus is all set to bring back Indian television’s trend setting show ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, after almost 13 years.

The rerun of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ hit the viewers nostalgic nerve which led to a massive demand to bring back ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, one of the most successful shows on television that became a cult in the year 2000, and changed the face of Indian television.

The unavailability of this show online disappointed the audience, but giving priority to the viewers demand, Star Plus immediately announced the rerun of this cult show which has risen the public’s excitement.

In the 2000’s Sakshi Tanwar garnered a lot of appreciation for her portrayal of Parvaati Agarwal who would fight with anyone to maintain peace at her family.

The show explored the world of a Marwadi joint family where Parvati is an ideal daughter-in-law of the Agarwal family and Om the ideal son. While the show deals with daily matters and trivial issues of a household, it also teaches that sometimes one must stand against their loved ones to do what is morally right.

The pioneer of saas-bahu shows, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ consistently remained in the list of top five most watched shows from 2000 to 2008. It’s characters Parvati and Om had become household names contributing to the massive popularity of actors like Sakshi Tanwar, Kiran Karmarkar, Ali Asgar, and Shweta Kawatraa.

The show will be telecasted on Star Plus from Monday to Sunday at 3.30 pm, starting August 2.
