Mumbai, Feb 19 : As the first inside pictures of Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding began to go viral on social media on Saturday afternoon, fans just couldn’t have enough of the most dapper-looking couple at the year’s perhaps most down to earth ceremony. The couple selected Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse “Sukoon” for their nuptials. Shibani and Farhan apparently made a “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” entry at the venue with ‘Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein’ playing in the background. With Farhan in black shades and matching bow-tie suit with Shibani in red flowing dress and red veil….. there was a “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” feel to the pictures available on various media.
According to sources, Javed Akhtar recited a poem for the couple. Farhan’s mom Honey Irani was quoted as saying: “The most important thing is that they (Farhan and Shibani) are both very happy. “I just hope they have a wonderful life; it’s really nice to see they are tying the knot now. “They were very serious about each other. But frankly, today, couples take some time before making the decision on marriage. We respect that. We are not the interfering types.
“Shibani and Farhan are both mature. We would have approved of whatever they wanted.” Celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Rhea Chakraborty, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ritesh Sidhwani were photographed arriving at the wedding venue.
