CM Bommai Takes Time  Out Out Attend Mega pre-release Of RRR In Chikkaballapur

Chikkaballapur, March 19 : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai here on Saturday took some time out for a grand pre-release event of the prestigious RRR film by Baahubali-fame director Rajamouli. In a surprising move, the CM reached the venue and took his seat in the gallery much before the event started. This is something unusual as Bommai is extremely busy attending several programmes on a day-to-day basis. Despite the busy schedule, Bommai spent quality time with team RRR and conveyed his best wishes to them. Amidst high expectations of the film and promotions being held in full swing, Bommai, in his speech, lauded Rajamouli for making a film on unsung heroes. “To create a Magnificent India it is necessary to make films on unsung heroes to enlighten the youth about the truth. For this, I thank Rajamouli for directing an extraordinary film like RRR,” he said. Rajamouli is not a filmmaker but a creator, and also a Kannadiga hailing from Raichur, Bommai said. He also appealed to him to dedicate RRR to unsung heroes like Bhagat Singh, Subash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Kittur Rani Chennamma and Jhansi ki Rani. Bommai also informed the gathering that Rani Kittur Chennamma was the first female warrior to fight against The British much before Rani Laxmibai. He exuded confidence that the entire country will watch RRR in theatres and feel proud about it. “I appeal to people to pay money and watch it in theatres,” he added. KVN Productions is releasing the film in Karnataka. The film is releasing on March 25.
