Mumbai, March 8: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Tuesday penned a heartfelt note for his 12-year-old furry friend who passed away. His post came hours after wife Twinkle Khanna’s, who shared heartwarming videos of Cleo as she combed her, and reminiscenced and the German Shepherd too, looked like enjoying his master’s petting for the final few days. Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared a series of throwback pictures of Cleo. “They say dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. You took a part of our hearts with you today. Rest well up there, Cleo. Will miss you.”
In the photos, Akshay and his wife Twinkle Khanna can be seen petting Cleo. Twinkle on Monday evening wrote: “Our beautiful Cleo passed away. We had 12 wonderful years with her. I don’t know how the heart can feel heavy and empty at the same time, but it does.” In the first video, “mrsfunnybones” is seen brushing Cleo, which was recorded last year, and in another video Cleo can be seen playing on the ground. The bollywood couple’s friends and colleagues expressed condolences. Amrita Arora, Dabboo Ratnani and Bobby Deol dropped heart broken emojis. Twinke’s cousin Karan Kapadia wrote, “RIP Cleopatra.” Akshay is shooting for his next movie ‘Bachchhan Paandey’, opposite actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon. The Sajid Nadiadwala bankrolled film will hit the theatres on March 18. While Twinkle is giving us sane advice on weekends and through the week living life and engaging in projects that will help make world a saner place for kids. The former actress has taken up writing and she does it with elan and chutzpah.
