Shubman Gill’s fan girl makes a ‘cheeky’ Tinder match request; twitterati spark memefest
Shubman Gill is a star in the making and he is continuously proving it every time he walks out to bat. Gill showed his class in the third and final T20I against New Zealand – where he hammered unbeaten 126 runs off just 63 balls. It was Gill’s maiden ton in the shortest format of the game and he joined an elusive list of Indian cricketers to have scored tons in all three formats of the game.
The batting prowess of Shubman Gill has been such that he scored his maiden double hundred in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand and his maiden T20I hundred against the same opposition. While the social media is chanting “Gill, Gill, Gill,” a post is doing the rounds on the internet that shows Shubman’s fan girls’ cheeky request.
The picture showing a girl carrying a billboard for the young batsman went crazy viral on the internet. In the image, she could be seen standing in the grandstand holding a pink paper that says, “Tinder Shubman se match kara do (Tinder please match me with Shubman).”
The 23-year-old Indian opener may not have reacted to the proposal publicly but he would have surely seen the sweet proposal.
The girl’s sweet appeal on the dating app prompted a meme frenzy on the microblogging platform. We bet the memes will leave you ROFLing.
The placard of the female fan became a meme material and went so viral that Shubman Gill finally joined Tinder. Taking to his Instagram handle, Gill responded to the fan’s viral request and shared a teasing video of his Tinder profile.
He wrote, “Dekh toh liya, ab tum dekho theek se,” in the caption. After being shared online, his post has garnered over 6L likes and thousands of comments.
On the professional front, Shubman recently scored a ODI double hundred vs New Zealand as well to start off the new year on a high. His next target will be to do well vs the Australians in the Test format now, if and when he gets the opportunity to bat.
