Actor Salman Khan needs licence revolver for self-protection

Mumbai July 22 : Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Friday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar at his office and apparently asked for a licence revolver for self-protection.

The actor arrived at the Mumbai police headquarters in south Mumbai at around 4 pm and met Phansalkar, an official said, adding that it was just a courtesy visit and had nothing to do with any case.

However, sources said that the actor has applied for a licence for revolver and local Bandra police station has forwarded his document to the Commissioner’s office.

Besides meeting the top cop of city police, the actor also met Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil there.

Last month, Salman and his father Salim Khan had received a letter threatening that the father-son duo would meet the fate of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was killed in May. After the letter, Khan’s security had been enhanced.

Wearing a pink coloured T-shirt and black pants, Khan shook hands with some police constables in CP office, but refused to interact with the media, waiting outside the police station, asking him about his meeting with the police officials.
