Chidambaram Appeals Goan Voters To Vote For Cong
Panaji, Feb 13 : Former Union Minister P Chidambaram on Sunday urged electorates of Goa to vote for Congress. “I appeal to the people of Goa to vote for our candidates and give the Congress a clear majority in the new Assembly,” he said in a tweet. He said he had immense faith in goodness of the people of Goa and their desire to elect a good government. “Goa goes to the Monday.I have immense faith in the goodness of the people of Goa and their desire to elect a good government that will deliver growth, jobs and security to the people,” he said.
The senior Congress leader said his party had tried to field mixed team of new, young, educated and experienced candidates. “In the last six months, I have enjoyed the affection of the people of Goa. I and my party have tried to return their affection by fielding a mixed team of new, young, educated and experienced candidates,” he said. The Congress has fielded 37 candidates while its ally Goa Forward Party (GFP) has fielded three. Goa will go for polls Monday.
