Odisha Schools, Colleges, Universities Reopens From Today
The educational institutions in the state were closed due to the third wave of the pandemic in the country.
Schools for students of KG to class-7 will reopen from February 14.
The School and Mass Education Department has fixed the timing of classes for students of Standard 9 to 12 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Similarly, the timing of classes for students of Standard 1 to 8 has been fixed from 9 am to 1 pm.
As per the instruction of the department, dry ration under the Midday Meal (MDM) program will be supplied to the eligible students until further orders.
Short-term training and skill development training centres also reopened in the state from today.
Class promotion of students from KG up to Class 9 will be done on basis of classroom assessment mark. Promotion of students from Standard 11 to Standard 12 will be done through class assessment as well.
Students of Class 10 and 12 will appear for exams conducted by concerned board and council as per their guidelines.
The schools and colleges have been directed to conduct bridge course and short-term course to make up the loss of study of students during the past two years.
The institutions can also decrease the summer vacation period, if necessary.
