Arvind Prays Lord For Gujarat: Kejriwal, Mann Visit Swaminarayan Temple On Last Day Of Gujarat Tour

New Delhi, April 3 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann paid obeisance at Swaminarayan Temple in Shahibaug, Gujarat on Sunday on the last amid their two-day tour to the poll-bound state. The Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor was accompanied by Rajya Sabha MP-elect Raghav Chadha, senior leaders of AAP’s Gujarat wing—Gopal Italia, Isudan Gadhvi—and other dignitaries. “I am feeling blessed after visiting the Swaminarayan Temple. It felt great to come here. I want to pray to Swaminarayan Ji to give us so much strength so that we can continue to work in the interests of the country,” Kejriwal said in a statement issued from AAP after he visited the revered temple. The visit by the AAP CMs happened on their last day of two-day tour to Gujarat. The party leaders spent around 15 minutes at the temple complex and learned its features from the priest. The tour by Kejriwal and Mann is being termed very crucial after AAP’s sweeping victory in the Punjab assembly elections last month. With polls in Gujarat, AAP is trying to transform itself into a national party. Gujarat’s visit by Kejriwal and Mann began with a tour of the Sabarmati Ashram on Saturday. Later, the duo proceeded to lead a massive Tiranga Yatra and a roadshow in the heart of Ahmedabad from Khodiyar Temple, Uttam Nagar. A glimpse of the Kejriwal Government’s ambitious project—Mohalla Clinics of Delhi—was also shown there as the centre of attraction in the roadshow.
